Our goal was to see as much as possible in 6 days while maintaining an unhurried approach. From the first contact, our experience was detailed perfection. Marc and his team managed everything from airport pickup to hotel and restaurant recommendations.
We hoped to relax and not worry about anything โ this expectation was exceeded. The team clearly listened to our preferences.
Our main stops included Zurich, Appenzell, Liechtenstein, Lake Lucerne, Interlaken, Thun, Zermatt, and the vineyards around Montreux.
The best element of our time was our top-tier guide, Manuel. His personality, knowledge, energy, and pride in his country were exceptional.
From Swiss Judo Champion to Designing Switzerland’s Most Unforgettable Journeys
Jana Bruggmann is a Senior Experience Agent at Luxury Tours Switzerland, combining a Swiss Judo champion’s discipline with the instincts of someone who has travelled through 40 countries across four continents. Fluent in German, English, and French, with strong Spanish, Jana brings a traveller’s empathy and a local’s deep knowledge to every itinerary she designs. Her conviction: the best journeys don’t follow a script. They follow the person.

Jana Bruggmann – Senior Experience Agent, Luxury Tours Switzerland
Jana Bruggmann has never followed a strict plan. She has followed instinct. Looking back, that approach has taken her through competitive sport at the international level, studies in tourism management, solo travel across seven countries in Latin America, nine months across Southeast Asia, a volunteer mission to Nepal, mountain restaurant seasons in the Swiss Alps, and eventually to the work she does today: helping people experience Switzerland in ways they will never forget.
Judo came first. For years, it defined her life. Jana competed at a high level, represented Switzerland at national and international tournaments across Europe, and attended training camps abroad almost every other week. She trained eight times a week, balanced with tournaments on the weekends. The sport taught her discipline, resilience, and the ability to read situations quickly. It also shaped how she approaches everything that followed. She became Swiss Champion. The lessons never left.
To manage the demands of elite sport alongside her education, Jana completed a commercial office apprenticeship, then qualified to continue directly into higher education on the strength of her results. She studied Tourism Management at FH Graubunden in Chur, working 20 to 40 percent throughout, in roles as different as restaurant waitress and online marketing agent at a startup. Both taught her to work with people across very different environments. When she retired from Judo, she finally had space to ask the bigger question: what came next?
The Birth of Luxury Tours Switzerland
Some of the best ideas start with a wrong turn.

COVID answered that question in the most unexpected way. With international travel shut down and her studies suddenly remote, Jana began exploring Switzerland instead. Hiking on her days off. Discovering places she had never noticed despite growing up here. The dream of seeing the wider world was still there, but Switzerland revealed itself differently during that time.
After graduating with her Bachelor of Science in Tourism, she completed an internship in event management at a large IT company. Valuable work. But not where her heart was. When it ended, she made the decision that would change everything: a one-way ticket to Argentina. No timeline. No plan. No return date.
That is when she found Luxury Tours Switzerland. The role of Experience Agent brought together everything that had shaped her: tourism expertise, deep Swiss knowledge, international empathy, and a genuine love for designing journeys that fit the person, not the other way around.
Today, Jana works with international clients from first inquiry through to the final day of their trip, building tailor-made itineraries that draw on the kind of knowledge only someone who has both lived here and explored the world can offer. She knows what it feels like to arrive somewhere unfamiliar and need someone to make it make sense. That is exactly what she provides.
Ask Jana what she loves most about Switzerland and she talks about variety. Not the polished, postcard version, but the real kind. Within a few hours you can move from the warmth of a lake in summer to the silence of a high alpine peak, from the energy of a city to a valley where time moves differently. The landscapes keep changing. There is always something new to discover.
Her favourite place is the Alpstein region. She spent a summer working there, and the owners feel like family. The hiking trails, the views, the food, the feeling of being completely at peace. It is one of those places, she says, where you forget about everything else and simply exist. The kind of place she wants every guest to find in Switzerland, whether or not it is the same one.
