Our goal was to see as much as possible in 6 days while maintaining an unhurried approach. From the first contact, our experience was detailed perfection. Marc and his team managed everything from airport pickup to hotel and restaurant recommendations.
We hoped to relax and not worry about anything — this expectation was exceeded. The team clearly listened to our preferences.
Our main stops included Zurich, Appenzell, Liechtenstein, Lake Lucerne, Interlaken, Thun, Zermatt, and the vineyards around Montreux.
The best element of our time was our top-tier guide, Manuel. His personality, knowledge, energy, and pride in his country were exceptional.

Schedule
Morning: Your journey begins in Zurich with a private food-led city tour that introduces both the sights and tastes of Switzerland’s largest city. As you explore neighbourhoods and landmarks, your Switzerland tour guide weaves together local stories with tasty culinary highlights.
Afternoon: A private boat ride on Lake Zurich follows, champagne in hand, offering a calmer view of the city from the water. From here, you continue to Lucerne, where a fondue e-tuk-tuk tour winds through the old town, past Chapel Bridge and historic streets, blending tradition and fun.
Evening: You settle into the Hotel Schweizerhof in Lucerne, the day ending quietly with the lake just outside.
Morning: After a hotel breakfast, you’ll be picked up and will begin to travel to Engelberg for one of Switzerland’s most dramatic mountain ascents. The rotating Rotair cable car lifts you toward Mount Titlis, offering shifting panoramic views as you climb into a world of ice and snow.
Afternoon: At the summit, explore the glacier cave, walk across the Titlis Cliff Walk, or you could enjoy snow tubing in the snow fun area. A gentle hike near Lake Trübsee follows, paired with a relaxed outdoor raclette lunch. Back in Engelberg, a guided village walk and time for shopping adds a calmer contrast to the alpine morning.
Evening: We’ll continue onward to Interlaken, arriving at Hotel Interlaken as the light fades between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz. The evening is unstructured, allowing time to rest or enjoy a quiet stroll.
Morning: Today focuses on one of the most scenic areas of the country, making it a highlight among our Interlaken tours. We’ll visit Lauterbrunnen, where a guided village walk introduces the valley of 72 waterfalls.
Staubbach Falls – Switzerland’s 2nd tallest waterfall – sets the tone, while quieter viewpoints reveal the scale of the landscape. We’ll be sure to take you to all of the famous, and secret, photo spots.
Afternoon: A ride in the world’s steepest cable car leads to Mürren, where a village walk opens views toward the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. We’ll stop at a delicious cafe for a sweet treat. From here, a scenic hike to Gimmelwald follows, rewarded with one of the region’s most talked-about mountain pizzas. A cable car descent brings you past Switzerland’s tallest waterfall before returning to Interlaken.
Evening: A guided Interlaken city walk rounds out the day, with the option to visit a local farm in Gimmelwald for a more personal connection to alpine life. Then you’ll return to Hotel Interlaken for a restful evening.
Morning: On day 4, we’ll travel south through changing landscapes to Täsch, where you board the train into car-free Zermatt. A guided village walk introduces the rhythm of life beneath the Matterhorn, with wooden chalets and quiet streets setting the tone.
Afternoon: You’ll then hop on the cogwheel railway which climbs to the iconic Gornergrat, delivering some of Switzerland’s most recognisable views. Lunch is served at altitude, followed by the option to hike from Rotenboden via the legendary Riffelsee to Riffelberg route, where reflections of the Matterhorn often appear on still days.
Evening: Dessert is enjoyed at Riffelalp, Europe’s highest five-star hotel, before returning to Zermatt. For thrill seekers, there’s an option for paragliding to be arranged once we’re in Zermatt. You’ll then spend a night in a traditional alpine hotel – Hotel Julen.
Morning: After breakfast, you’ll return by train to Täsch, before continuing on a scenic drive into the French-speaking part of Switzerland. Your day begins at Château de Chillon, where a guided visit of the castle reveals medieval history set dramatically on Lake Geneva’s edge.
Afternoon: A gentle walk along the Montreux Riviera follows before heading into the Lavaux vineyards. A private wine tasting introduces the terraced landscape and local varieties, with sweeping lake views framing the experience.
Evening: You return to Zurich for your final night at the Dolder Grand hotel, arriving with a sense of having seen Switzerland in full contrast – from glaciers to vineyards, villages to cities.
