Our goal was to see as much as possible in 6 days while maintaining an unhurried approach. From the first contact, our experience was detailed perfection. Marc and his team managed everything from airport pickup to hotel and restaurant recommendations.
We hoped to relax and not worry about anything — this expectation was exceeded. The team clearly listened to our preferences.
Our main stops included Zurich, Appenzell, Liechtenstein, Lake Lucerne, Interlaken, Thun, Zermatt, and the vineyards around Montreux.
The best element of our time was our top-tier guide, Manuel. His personality, knowledge, energy, and pride in his country were exceptional.

Overview
Highlights
Zurich is often seen as Switzerland’s financial heart, but spend a little time here and a very different city reveals itself. This three-day journey blends historic streets, lake life, chocolate, and mountain views, offering a refined introduction to the city and its surroundings.
It’s a beautifully paced option for travellers looking for Switzerland tours that feel personal, polished, and unmistakably Swiss.
Schedule
Morning: Begin with a guided city tour through Zurich’s Old Town, where history and modern life sit comfortably side by side. Walk through Niederdorf’s narrow streets, pause at Lindenhof for one of the city’s best viewpoints, and learn how Zurich evolved from Roman settlement to global city.
Afternoon: Ride the funicular up to ETH Zurich, one of the world’s leading universities. From the Polyterrasse viewpoint, the city stretches out below, framed by distant hills. Your guide will share stories of Albert Einstein’s time here.
Those who wish can climb the Grossmünster towers for views across the old town and river. Later, enjoy a relaxed private boat ride on Lake Zurich – a gentle shift in pace that shows the city from a quieter angle.
Evening: Dinner is reserved at Köchlistube, a true insider favourite known for traditional flavours and a welcoming atmosphere. Stay overnight at Eden au Lac Zurich, perfectly positioned by the lake.
Morning: The day begins on the water with a private boat ride on Lake Zurich, with champagne served as the shoreline glides by. You’re then dropped off at the Lindt Home of Chocolate for a self-guided visit. Interactive displays, stories of Swiss craftsmanship, and generous tastings make this a surprisingly engaging experience, even for seasoned travellers.
Afternoon: A limousine transfer returns you to your hotel, passing through Zurich’s trendier neighbourhoods along the way. There’s time to relax or explore independently before the evening’s highlight.
Evening: Dinner is at Restaurant Kronenhalle – an institution where fine art, impeccable service, and classic cuisine meet. Return to Eden au Lac Zurich for the night.
Morning: Leave the city behind with a short train ride to Uetliberg Mountain, Zurich’s green escape. From the summit, climb the lookout tower for panoramic views over the city, lake, and on clear days, the distant Alps.
Afternoon: Lunch is enjoyed at Restaurant Uto Kulm, perched above Zurich with expansive views. For those keen to stay active, an optional guided scenic hike follows the ridge toward Felsenegg. The walk is gentle and rewarding, ending with dessert at a mountain restaurant before taking the cable car down.
Evening: Return to Zurich for a final dinner at La Muna, where the atmosphere is relaxed and celebratory – a fitting close to your Zurich 3-day itinerary. You’ll stay overnight once more at Eden au Lac Zurich.
