Our goal was to see as much as possible in 6 days while maintaining an unhurried approach. From the first contact, our experience was detailed perfection. Marc and his team managed everything from airport pickup to hotel and restaurant recommendations.
We hoped to relax and not worry about anything — this expectation was exceeded. The team clearly listened to our preferences.
Our main stops included Zurich, Appenzell, Liechtenstein, Lake Lucerne, Interlaken, Thun, Zermatt, and the vineyards around Montreux.
The best element of our time was our top-tier guide, Manuel. His personality, knowledge, energy, and pride in his country were exceptional.

Overview
Highlights
Set between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz and framed by some of the most dramatic mountains in the Alps, Interlaken is where Switzerland feels most cinematic. This three-day journey balances classic scenery with lesser-seen corners.
It’s an ideal introduction for travellers looking for Switzerland tours that feel personal, beautifully paced, and deeply Swiss.
Schedule
Morning: Begin the day in Interlaken, set between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz. Your guide introduces the town on a relaxed city tour, taking in key viewpoints, lakeside promenades, and the layout of the region. It’s an easy, welcoming start that gives you context without information overload.
Afternoon: Travel onwards to Grindelwald, one of the Alps’ most recognisable mountain villages. A cable car ride takes you up to Grindelwald First, where sweeping views open out across jagged peaks and green valleys. There’s time for a gentle walk, a coffee with a view, or simply standing still and taking it all in.
Evening: For those who wish, the day can end with an optional ascent to Harder Kulm – Interlaken’s local viewpoint. As the sun drops, the lakes below often glow gold before you return to the Victoria Jungfrau hotel for the evening.
Morning: Set out on a private boat ride across Lake Thun, drifting past vineyards, lakeside villas, and forested hillsides. It’s a calm way to experience the region from the water, far removed from busy public ferries.
Afternoon: Lunch is reserved at Beatus Merligen, a peaceful lakeside setting known for its seasonal cuisine. Afterwards, explore the town of Thun, wandering through its old streets before visiting Thun Castle, which rises above the river with spectacular.
Continue on to the Sigriswil Suspension Bridge, where a gentle walk high above the valley offers memorable views without being physically demanding.
Evening: Return to Interlaken feeling as though you’ve seen the region from every angle – lake, town, and high above the valley – with the evening free to relax at your own pace.
Morning: Travel into the Alps to Adelboden, a traditional mountain village surrounded by dramatic peaks. From here, hike to the Engstligen Falls, among Switzerland’s highest waterfalls, where the sound of rushing water echoes through the valley.
Afternoon: Continue to the Choleren Gorge, following narrow walkways through sculpted limestone corridors carved by centuries of flowing water. The experience is immersive, dramatic, and surprisingly peaceful.
Later, take a cable car up to Engstligenalp, a high alpine plateau where open skies, grazing cattle, and gentle walking paths invite you to slow down and breathe in the landscape.
Evening: Return from the mountains to the comfort of Victoria Jungfrau for a relaxing last evening – a fitting close to this 3-day Switzerland itinerary.
